S.M.A. Lay Missionaries are Catholics, both men and women, single and married. They have often come from the United States, but also from Canada, Panama, Colombia, Argentina, Poland, England, and other parts of the world. Our members have a diversity of ages, from early 20's to late 50's. They come from a variety of backgrounds and talents. Some have extensive education and others have technical skills. Some have long training in theology and some have much less. All have a desire to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, grow spiritually, share the call to serve those of other cultures, share community, and use their talents within the S.M.A. charism. Most are in temporary commitment with the S.M.A. Lay Missionaries, but they are willing to consider long-term or even permanent commitment with this mission family. Our members wholeheartedly offer themselves and their service to God and to the people of Africa. | ||||||||||||||
